Hot olive spread
Hot Tomato paste and olive dip
Ingredients
- 1 cup green olives (chopped)
- 1/2 cup tomato paste
- 2 tbsp hot pepper paste
- 1 tsp dried mint leaves
- Cumin
- Olive oil
Preparation
In a bowl
- Combine the olives, the tomato and pepper pastes, the cumin, and half the dried mint leaves
In a serving bowl
- Spread the mixture in the serving bowl creating a well in the middle
- Add a generous amount of olive oil in the well
- Sprinkle the rest of the dried mint leaves on top
We serve this hot olive spread with toasted pita bread with earthy soups like Pt Pt shorba.
